The Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic is the largest employers' association in the Czech Republic. It represents 36 unions and associations and over 160 individual member companies. Overall, it defends the interests of companies employing over 1 million workers. It is a non-state organisation, independent of the government, political parties and trade unions, influencing the economic and social policy of the government and working to create optimal conditions for business. It comments on an average of 140 laws or government regulations per year. It defends the interests of employers in European and global organisations, in particular as a member of BusinessEurope, the Confederation of European Business.
