GEOSTARS

The main objective of the Geostars project: "Astro-observation & Natural Environment - Alternative Product of Development & Promotion of the Geoparks of the Eastern Mediterranean" is the improvement of the traffic and the economic development of the three recognized geoparks (UNESCO) Troodos, Sitia, Psiloritis in Greece and Cyprus which have special environmental and natural mountain characteristics that provide them with common comparative advantages of tourism development based on the Earth (Geo).

In addition, the aim of the project is to create a new form of alternative tourism, astrotourism, as an extension of the natural value of spaces, which focuses on the monitoring, acquaintance and study of space, the sun and the stars.
